Central Christian College ended up going 2-2 against MCAC foe Waldorf College this past weekend after splitting a doubleheader Saturday.
Waldorf took game one 7-3, but the Tigers roared back in game two to win 6-2.
Andrew Hightower had the start in game one and went seven innings with a 2-to-1 strike out to walk ratio. Hightower struck out six and walked three.
He gave up two earned runs on five hits, though the defense recorded four errors that led to four of the Warriors’ runs.
Ian Eshelman and Clayton Cramer both went 3 for 4 with a run scored.
Jhon Peralta went all seven innings in game two to earn the win for CCC (7-29, 2-10 MCAC). He gave up the two Waldorf runs on two hits and even his record at 3-3.
He struck out seven of the 22 batters he faced and walked three.
The Tigers had their six runs off of eight hits, with Eshelman going 3 for 3.
Brent Robinson was 2 for 3 with a single, a home run, one RBI and three runs scored.
Central Christian is at home today against Tabor College in a single nine-inning tilt that starts at 4 p.m.
