Despite the rain the night before, the weather was a perfect 70-80 degrees and sunny for the Black Kettle Festival and Car Show on Saturday.Festival goers enjoyed plane rides, food, music, games, a parade, and lots of cars at Saturday’s event.

A couple weeks removed from their season-ending loss in the regional championship, the McPherson High School summer baseball teams are underway as the 18U and 16U teams played in their home openers last Friday.Although Friday, May 31 served as the home opener for the two squads this summer, both McPherson teams opened their summer season on the road the night prior with a trip to Hutchinson.16U:The 16U Bullpups started their summer season off with a bang by firing off two victories in two tries last Thursday.McPherson started off by playing the Enid Plainsmen, which took place at Hutchinson’s Rice Park.
