Spice Up Your Life is a weekly recipe column by Lindsey Young, who describes herself as an enthusiastic amateur cook and can be reached through her website at spiceupkitchen.net.I was listening to a podcast this week about a scammer who managed to get millions of dollars out of his marks by pretending to be a Saudi Arabian prince. In one case, he was found out because he ordered a dish with pancetta in it at a restaurant, and since his dining companion knew a devout Muslim would never eat pork, he started becoming suspicious.I get it.

Bulldogs split with Valor and Swedes

A chance at grabbing sole possession of the crucial fourth-place spot in the KCAC standings eluded the McPherson College men’s basketball team last Wednesday as the Bulldogs fell 97-88 to the Valor, but McPherson rebounded just three days later with a nail-biting 77-76 win over rival Bethany.Since the 2024 portion of McPherson’s season began, the Bulldogs have seemingly been trading off back-to-back wins for back-to-back losses.
