Chapter AY of the P.E.O. Sisterhood met for a regular business meeting on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at 7:00 pm in the home of Denise O'Connor Munsey. Annette Karr and Lori Havens served as co hostesses.

McPherson Center for Health recognized for Quality Laboratory Services

McPherson Center for Health has met all the criteria for Laboratory Accreditation by COLA Inc., a leading national laboratory accreditor, whose program and standards enable clinical laboratories and staff to meet United States Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act (CLIA) and other regulatory requirements. Through a mentoring approach using education to improve quality and patient safety, accreditation is given to laboratories that apply the highest standards of quality in day-to-day operations, demonstrate continued accuracy in the performance of proficiency testing, and pass a rigorous on-site laboratory survey.

Honoring McPherson's fallen officers

On May 14, the McPherson Police Department hosted a solemn tribute to honor the lives of fallen officers, marking Peace Officer Memorial Day with two ceremonies dedicated to remembrance and respect. The events paid special homage to McPherson Night Chief Charles M.

Bullpups take second at league ahead of regionals

BUHLER, Kansas – The McPherson High School track and field team got one step closer to America’s largest high school state track and field meet last Friday, as the Bullpups took second place in both the boys and girls divisions at the AVCTL Division III league meet in Buhler. Friday, May 16 didn’t only serve as the league meet but also as one final tune-up for McPherson before competing in regionals to decide who will qualify and advance to the all-classes state track and field meet at the end of the month.
