History finds its way home

A piece of McPherson fire service history has a second chance at life. The McPherson Fire Department has acquired a 1949 Seagrave fire truck that originally served the city beginning in 1949.

ReUse-It Center announced April donations

The ReUse-It Center continues its commitment to strengthening the McPherson community by supporting organizations dedicated to alleviating poverty and providing affordable housing. As part of its Benevolent Distribution for April, the Center has extended generous donations to two vital local initiatives: STEPMC and McPherson Housing Coalition.

The First Presbyterian Church of McPherson invites you to “An Evening with Jazz” with Doug Ragon in the church sanctuary, Wednesday, May 21st at 7:00 p.m. Doug is a Wichita pianist, trombonist, and composer from Wichita State University, where he earned his Master of Music in Composition.

ASD Medallions found

Twenty-four years separated one woman from her first All Schools Day Button Hunt find and her second, while another woman picked up what was her second find in as many years. Danielle Claassen of McPherson found the medallion for the 2025 button hunt, while Jo Unruh of Galva identified this year's virtual hunt location.
