Northwestern Announces Honor Roll for Fall 2022

Fall semester honor rolls at Northwestern Oklahoma State University have been announced by the office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs. Those on the President’s Honor Roll earned all A’s, or a 4.0 grade point average (GPA), in a minimum of 12 undergraduate or nine graduate hours. Those on the Vice President’s list had grade point averages of 3.5 or better in a minimum of 12 undergraduate or nine graduate hours.

Pink Patch Project wraps up for 2022

On Dec. 20, Women and Children Combating Cancer in McPherson County was presented funds from both the McPherson County Sheriff’s Office and McPherson Police Department. Both departments have been doing a fundraiser called the Pink Patch Project, to bring awareness to breast cancer and cancer in women and children for the local foundation.

Dear Readers, It’s one thing to heed the warnings and think you’re ready for the first winter storm of the season and quite another to have three cats jump on your head at 2am because a big cold wolf of a Northwind is huffing and puffing and trying to blow the farmhouse down. All six paws on my face were quite cold, and it was so drafty, I thought for a moment that the wind was coming right through the walls. I pulled out another quilt and we curled up together, soon toasty warm and sleeping obliviously the rest of the night through the weather.

Little River Sweeps Two from Herington

LITTLE RIVER – The topranked Little River girls as well as the Redskin boys both closed out the first month of their 2022-23 seasons with resounding wins over Herington on Tuesday as the Lady Redskins won by 32 and the boys followed with a 40-point blowout victory.
