Elyria Splits Pair with Sedgwick

SEDGWICK – On Tuesday the Elyria Christian girls and boys traveled to Sedgwick and brought home a win for the Lady Eagles, 34-21, while the Eagle boys lost late, 30-24. Both the Lady Eagles and Eagle boys are now 3-2 for the season as they were prepping to host Solomon on Saturday before traveling to Rural Vista next Tuesday to close out their pre-Christmas schedule.

Celebrating Christmas Swedish style

On Saturday, the sound of Swedish hymns and traditional dancing filled the streets of Lindsborg as the annual St. Lucia Festival took place. The holiday spirit continued into the evening with the Heritage Christmas at the Lindsborg Old Mill & Swedish Heritage Museum.

MCPHERSON – The Wichita Suburban League (WSL) crown belongs to the seventh and eighth grade McPherson Middle School girls basketball teams, as each Lady Pups team completed a perfect 12-0 season after winning the WSL tournament Monday night.

Wrestling finishes long road trips

MCPHERSON – The McPherson High School wrestlers had the state of Kansas well-covered during last week’s events, as the varsity boys made the lengthy drive to Colby for an 11th place finish and the varsity girls traveled to Great Bend for a 10th place finish.
