Bullpup athletes complete first signing day

MCPHERSON – It was the start of a new era on Wednesday, as five different McPherson High School athletes signed their letter of intent at the high school’s Signing Day event inside the little theater to continue their athletic and academic careers at the next level.

Shari Rae (Goering) Henson, 49, of McPherson, KS, passed away November 6, 2022, at her home. Funeral arrangements are with Stockham Family Funeral Home, McPherson.

Judsyn Cole Trapp

Judsyn Cole Trapp, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away at 7:05 p.m, Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at Salina Regional Health Center, Salina, Kansas. Judsyn was born in Salina, Kansas on November 8, 2022, a son of Linzey Jordan (Winter) and Adam Kyle Trapp .

Critic killers: Bullpup soccer ends state run with third place finish

DE SOTO, Kansas – Unlikely, improbable, unbelievable and impossible. Those are some of the words that could’ve described the McPherson Bullpups boys soccer postseason run. Yet, McPherson ended their magical run on Saturday with a 3-2 overtime win against Wichita Trinity Academy for third place at the 4A-1A state tournament.

McPherson College “breaks ground” for new Campus Commons

In a ceremony during halftime of the Bulldog football game on Saturday, Nov. 5, President Michael Schneider and his guests “broke ground” to signal the beginning of the Campus Commons building. With its location on Kansas Avenue, the Campus Commons will create a symbolic new “front door” for the campus.
