Crawford Relief Fund set up to help family of six after house fire

Early morning on Oct. 22, a family of six in Lindsborg Kans., woke up to their house on fire. Escaping through a bedroom window, the family had to leave their dogs and belongings inside. Mika and Challenge Crawford and their four sons are currently staying at Mika’s parents’ house in Lindsborg.

Larry Lee McMillan, 82, of Lyons, Kansas, passed away October 23, 2022, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson. He was born April 20, 1940, in Hutchinson, the son of Ralph “Si” and Pearl Hazel Corwin McMillan.

Male friend reluctant to receive advice regarding his prostate

DEAR DR. ROACH: I recently had a health scare about my prostate, but fortunately, I was able to get it treated successfully. Because of my close call (I was diagnosed with a moderately aggressive prostate cancer and was apparently cured by surgery), I encourage my male friends to seek medical advice for prostate issues. But one friend seems cynical and reluctant to seek medical advice. Without being too pushy, how do I convince him it’s in his own best interest to see a doctor? -- A.M.
