ELLSWORTH – On Tuesday, the Smoky Valley cross country team went to Ellsworth and brought home a team championship for the Lady Vikings while the Viking boys took second. In the girls division, the Lady Vikings totaled 30 points from their top five runners to win the team championship by 23 points over second-place Minneapolis.

CANTON – Despite scoring a 54-0 shutout victory on Friday over Fairfield, the Canton/Galva football program was also celebrating the two state records broken during the game by Eagle defensive back Jett Vincent.

LINDSBORG – Smoky Valley’s football team won many some of the team stats, but penalties, a major miscue, and a pair of costly interceptions cost them the home game on Friday as Cheney used a strong fourth quarter to score a 27-14 win over the Vikings.
MOUNDRIDGE – When Little River’s football team went to Moundridge on Friday, they made short work of the game by scoring a 46-0 shutout that was over at halftime due to the 45-point rule. With the win, Little River is now 4-1 for 2022 and will return home on Friday for a battle with Herington who will enter the game just 1-4 for the season.
WINFIELD, Kansas – McPherson College may be home to one of the best teams in NAIA football, however, the Bulldogs now own three losses by a combined three points after losing another one-point heartbreaker to the No. 6 ranked Southwestern Builders Saturday evening.
