Remember the Bullpups: McPherson High honors state championship teams

MCPHERSON – When someone associates the two words “basketball” and “Kansas” together, the attention and focus is immediately directed to the excellence and tradition that is found at the University of Kansas. However, if people were to dig a little bit deeper into the state of Kansas they would find another basketball-rich community that is home to a school with a winning tradition of its own. That school would be the McPherson High School Bullpups.

The third-place finish at the meet was not the only cause for celebration for the Bullpups, as there were new state qualification and consideration times and a new school record.
