Chamber Blue of Kansas

The McPherson Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce a new partnership with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas (BCBS KS) and Chamber of Commerce Executives of Kansas (CCEKS). This partnership stitches together 34 local Chambers of Commerce across Kansas to offer an Association Health Plan called Chamber Blue of Kansas.

Senior sweep: Bullpup softball streaks into postseason

MCPHERSON – On Tuesday, April 19, McPherson lost a 14-0 contest against Newton in a five-inning run rule. That, however, was not how this senior squad and team was going to finish out the season as that loss to Newton would McPherson’s last of the regular season and the Bullpups have reeled off 10 straight wins, with the latest two coming from a sweep on senior day.

McGee Looks to Sustain and Grow the Moundridge Community

(Our series of “Profiles of McPherson County Business Leaders” highlights Murray McGee) MOUNDRIDGE – We look to introduce you to our latest ‘Profile of McPherson County Business Leaders’ with a look at the City Administrator for Moundridge, Murray McGee, a man who strives daily to sustain the community while looking for ways to help it continue to grow towards the future. Murray McGee has worked with for the City of Moundridge since September of 2015 when he became their Economic Development Director and Chamber of Commerce Director, a position he held until being appointed Interim City Administrator in August of 2020 and permanent City Administrator as of January 1, 2021.

Teutons, Eagles Split Pair on Diamond

CANTON – Inman and Canton/Galva resided on the west and east sides of McPherson County and when the two meet up it will likely be a battle and on Tuesday, they collided on the baseball diamond where the two teams split a doubleheader with the Eagles scoring a late inning 3-2 win in game one before the Teutons took a 13-11 victory in the nightcap.

Redskins Sweep Ellinwood, Get #1 Seed at Regionals

LITTLE RIVER – Closing out the 2022 regular season with a clean sweep of a doubleheader at against Ellinwood, winning 10-3 and 5-4, the Little River baseball team secured themselves the number one seed at next weeks state regionals in Brookville.

Postseason bound: McPherson High soccer soaring high entering playoffs

MCPHERSON – The regular season for the McPherson High School girls soccer team was full of many twists and turns along the way. Down the stretch, however, those twists and turns started to form a straight path for a team that was finding its chemistry at the right time of the season. That path got a little bit straighter Thursday night, as the Bullpups used a dominant performance on senior night to extend their winning streak to seven games by beating Salina South 6-1.
