Kansas Supreme Court finds legislation ‘unenforceable’

The Kansas Supreme Court reversed a a Johnson County District Court decision that had found Senate Bill 40, which relates to emergency powers, to be “unenforceable.” Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt said the court’s decision brings clarity to the issue. “[Friday’s] decision provides welcome clarity that the district court erred by going out of its way to ask and then answer questions not before it about the constitutionality of SB 40,” Schmidt said.

Bullpup wrestlers enjoy big weekend

MCPHERSON – It was a busy and successful couple of days for the McPherson boys wrestling team as the junior varsity wrestled at Concordia on Friday, bringing home four gold medals while the varsity competed in the huge, 22-team Burlington Invitational on Saturday and both won the invitational team championship while bringing home two individual golds.
