The Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) and the Labette County Sheriff’s Office continue their search for Dakota A. Patton, the 23-year-old man who was last seen the evening of April 25, in Parsons, Kansas. Foul play is suspected in Patton’s disappearance.

On April 28, the City of McPherson Tree/Park Board and Eisenhower Elementary School Fifth Grade Class celebrated Arbor Day at Lakeside Park.
Kelsi Chisholm, Moundridge Grades 6-12 Art Teacher shared some of the results from the 4-12 Art Show on April 24 and the McPherson County Art Show the week before. “Reese Schmidt earned 2nd place for the Senior Scholarship Award at the McPherson County Art Show,” Chisholm said.
The McPherson County All Schools Day Parade, was first established in 1914 and historical figures were represented in the parade by locals through the years, such as General McPherson, Uncle Sam, and Betsy Ross.
With the help of a thrilling nine-inning walk-off win, the McPherson High School softball team can call themselves undefeated AVCTL Division III champions for the second straight season following a doubleheader sweep of previously one-loss Mulvane Monday evening at Grant Complex. Last season, the Lady Pups ran the gauntlet by achieving a perfect 10-0 record in league play to claim the AVCTL-III title.
