More and more products are being created with semi-conductors and sensors and at the same time, the life span of products is getting shorter.

Street Closures for All Schools Day Parade

On Friday, May 12, 2023, McPherson County will be celebrating All Schools Day in McPherson, with a parade. The parade will start at 10:30 am, but the roads will be closed on and around Main Street starting at 6:00 am. Vehicles parked in these areas will be towed at the vehicle owner’s expense, prior to the start of the parade. Do not drive around the barricades that are set up to close off these areas.

Brush Up Mac beautifies McPherson

Starting in 2005, the Brush Up Mac event, held every spring, assists those who struggle with upkeep and repairs on their home. The McPherson Housing Coalition and Brush Up Mac volunteers have helped over 1,000 through the annual event which helps homeowners who are physically or financially unable to make improvements to their homes.

GWENDOLYN JOYCE ECK

Gwen Eck was born Gwendolyn Joyce Dix on February 13, 1933, in what was then The McPherson County Hospital. She was the youngest of three daughters born to George and Erma Dix.

Engel says goodbye

May 31st is the end of an era for McPherson Main Street. Ann Engel became McPherson Main Street Director in March 2008 and is retiring at the end of the month.

23rd Annual C.A.R.S. Club Car & Motoring Festival

The McPherson College C.A.R.S. Club or College Automotive Restoration Students Club invites the community to their 23rd annual car show on May 6 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m at McPherson College, which features 350 to 400 cars, coming from Southern California and the East Coast.
