In order to reach a seventh straight victory and improve to 9-1 on the season, the McPherson Lady Pups softball team prevailed over a stubborn Winfield team last Thursday by sweeping the Vikings at Grant Complex.

Bullpups overcome slow start against Vikings

After trailing by as many as three runs in game one of the doubleheader, the McPherson Bullpups baseball team outscored Winfield 34-1 to come away with two run-rule victories and stretch their winning streak to three games.

MHS continues strong start to swim season

Rural Water District improvements pass next step

At Monday’s County Commission meeting, commissioners were presented with four bids for completion of improvements in McPherson Rural Water District #1 (RWD1) facilities. Approximately three years ago, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) presented RWD1 with a consent order stating the district was deficient and needed to be fixed and improved.
