Applications open for Habitat for Humanity home

The nonprofit housing organization Habitat for Humanity works in local communities in all 50 states and more than 70 other nations. The goal of Habitat is to create a society in which everyone has a decent place to live. In order to achieve this vision, Habitat partners with people and families in need of a quality and affordable place to live to build and renovate homes.

McPherson students get a dose of ‘Reality U’

Reality U brings a bit of reality to sophomore and eighth-grade students through an hour-long simulation. Students’ information is entered into the Reality U software, including their current GPA, and they are given a personalized simulation for their future.

Indie film opens soon at local theater

Richard Grabow is the writer, co-director, co-producer, and star of the indie feature film The Year of the Dog, which premieres on February 24 at VIP McPherson 4. For at least two weeks, the movie will have a restricted run in theaters around the nation.

Rick N. Anderson, 75, of McPherson, KS, passed away February 18, 2023, surrounded by family at McPherson Hospital. A celebration of Rick’s life will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, February 24, 2023, at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Tim Leaf officiating.
