Berty Jane Hoover Skellenger, 94, formerly of McPherson , passed away in her sleep on Friday, January 14, 2022 at North Pointe Assisted Living in Mayodan, North Carolina.

There will be no formal service and her cremains will be buried beside her Husband Leo, in Mcpherson Cemetery on April 14, 2022.

Berty was born on December 5, 1927 in McPherson to the late Fred and Ethel Warbritton Hoover and graduated from McPherson Senior High School in 1945.

She and her husband Leo moved to North Carolina in 1976 where she obtained her Associates Degree in Computer Programming from Guilford Technical Community College in Greensboro, North Carolina. She retired from Boren Brick Company in Pleasant Garden, North Carolina.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Grant Skellenger; and her sister Lucy Morris.

She is survived by her sons, Leo Grant Skellenger II of McLeansville North Carolina and Fred Charles Skellenger of Mayodan North Carolina; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
