The McPherson Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Wichita State University Center of Entrepreneurship and Network Kansas is bringing “Growing Rural Businesses” program to McPherson.

The McPherson Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Wichita State University Center of Entrepreneurship and Network Kansas is bringing “Growing Rural Businesses” program to McPherson.

The program is designed specifically for rural business owners and entrepreneurs. The eight-week program provides hands-on, practical solutions and techniques to grow and modernize business ventures in a rural setting.

“Every business owner can learn something new to improve on what they are currently doing,” said Jennifer Burch, Executive Director of the McPherson Chamber of Commerce. “We are very happy to have this opportunity to be host to the Growing Rural Business program to bring experts to our region to assist business owners develop new techniques and resources available to succeed and grow.”

All classes are taught by Wichita State University entrepreneurship experts. Topics are custom made to meet the needs of existing rural business owners who are ready to grow.

The seminar series begins Sept. 15 and is every Thursday evening from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. through Nov. 3. The seminars will be held at the ACCK office, 210 S. Main St. in McPherson. To sign up, go online to www.Wichita.edu/GRB and scroll down to the McPherson County article.

If you cannot attend all seminars, business owners can send a representative from their company to each of the seminars to gain the greatest benefit. Participants will receive a comprehensive practical approach to conducting business, along with the resources needed to succeed. Group discussions lead by facilitators will provide insights on how to approach challenges and solve them effectively.
