Bethany Miller of Hesston and Rebecca East of McPherson have joined the independent living department at Bluestem Communities.

Miller will serve in the role of Sales & Services Manager, while East will oversee the HUD housing properties at Kidron Bethel Village and Schowalter Villa as the Property Manager.

Miller attended Hesston College and Eastern Mennonite University, where she earned her degree in liberal arts. Previous to Bluestem Communities, Bethany worked at Hesston College in the admissions department.

“It will be great to get to know more people in the Hesston community. I am excited to work with a different generation,” said Miller.

East earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology. After being a stay-at- home mom for a while, she worked as a paraprofessional. More recently, East worked with disabled adults in their homes and in the community.

“I look forward to getting to know each of the residents at Hickory Homes and Kidron Inc. So far, I have met some very wonderful people,” East said.

Tyson Miller, Bluestem Director of Independent Living, is thrilled to add these two members to the team.

“Bethany and Rebecca are two fantastic individuals that bring a lot of energy and skills to the independent living communities of Bluestem,” Tyson Miller said. “They will be great at maintaining Bluestem’s positive housing reputation, while also working in some new initiatives we’ve been planning for a while.”
