McPherson College honors alumni

The McPherson College Citation of Merit award recipients for 2023 are Dwight Oltman ’58 (posthumously), Zane Smith ’66, and Garold Minns ’73. These recipients exemplify the college’s mission of Service, Scholarship, and Participation through their lifelong commitment to the values they developed as students at McPherson College.

McPherson High School students bring home $700 from KEC

Cristian Garcia and Payton Schlicht, McPherson High School Seniors recently came home with $700 from the Kansas Entrepreneurship Challenge at Kansas State University on April 20. Garcia and Schlicht participated in MHS Entrepreneurship teacher Christopher Strathman’s Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge in December, and had the opportunity to present their Mobile Car Wash business against other students’ ideas from all over the state.

Grant for More than $160K Allowing Major Restoration To 1904 Worlds Fair Swedish Pavilion in Lindsborg

In the last six months, the Lindsborg Old Mill & Swedish Heritage Museum has been on an impressive run of securing grant funding for critical repairs and restoration to its 1898 Smoky Valley Roller Mills and 1904 Worlds Fair Swedish Pavilion buildings – about $120,000 in funding.
