Daniel Ney, from Oxford, Mississippi, will be artist-in-residence at the Red Barn Studio Museum from Nov. 22nd to the 25th.
The Kansas Department of Transportation is partnering with the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) to raise awareness of its “Click It or Ticket” campaign during the busy Thanksgiving weekend. Law enforcement agencies will have an increased presence on roadways to check for speeders, seat belt use, and any suspicion of impaired driving.
With Thanksgiving upon us, we can’t help but reflect on those who have made Fort Hays State University what it is today. We are thankful for those who saw a need, had a vision, and worked tirelessly to enhance the education of our students. Leora B. Stroup built the nursing program at FHSU seventy years ago, and the program continues to grow in providing students with a world-class nursing education.

“Macyn has been in theatre classes for four years,beginning in Theatre I to Theatre II and Advance Acting. It has been a joy and privilege to watch this young lady progress and grow into such a confident, creative and talented young woman. The past two years she has gone from a supporting role actress on stage to lead roles and president of our Thespian Troupe here at MHS. As an officer she is always at the willingness and availability to help in all manners both large and small and has played a key role in leading us to State and International Honors. One last hurrah celebrating McPherson’s 150 years was the burial of the 2022 Time Capsules at the McPherson Fire Department on Nov. 18 at 1:30 p.m.
As Giving Tuesday approaches,McPherson non-profits are working together to raise funds for people in need through the annual Alternative Christmas Gift Market. Since 2005, this market has promoted honoring loved ones at Christmas with a donation in their name.This year’s virtual market includes ten agencies, most of them local.
The McPherson Area Solid Waste Utility Regular Board of Directors’ meeting will be held Tuesday, Nov. 22, at 5 p.m.
