Lindsborg Child Development Center giving tours, enrolling kids
A little over a year ago, ground broke on the Lindsborg Child Development Center, 1111 Wells Fargo Road and things have progressed rapidly to a point at which they are now offering tours of the facility and enrolling kids for all classrooms. Every week Tour Tuesdays begin at 10 a.m. at 1111 E. Swensson St. Virtual tours can also be taken at www. childcareforlindsborg. org. Tours allow staff to pass along information on child to teacher ratios, curriculum, and tuition.

Local dirt bike rider overcomes injury, eyes ‘going pro’
Treygan Birdsong, 16, was barely in the double digits when he was lucky enough to discover his passion. At the ripe old age of 10, he began riding dirt bikes for fun and in two years he turned a hobby into a competition in flat track racing. While this may seem like a young age, for this particular sport, he was relatively old.
Large numbers turn out for voting in Mac County
McPherson County saw a marked increase in turnout for the primaries on August 2. McPherson County had 1,706 Democratic ballots, 6,782 Republican ballots and 1,416 Independant ballots counted. A lot was riding on these elections, as it was more than deciding a candidate for respective parties.
