TOPEKA — A new research initiative is providing universities and colleges in Kansas with $24 million to research how the state can better support residents before and after disaster emergencies. The Adaptive and Resilient Infrastructures Driven by Social Equity, or ARISE, project is a federally funded program through the National Science Foundation.

MCPHERSON – After much consideration, debate, time and effort, the first ground has been broken for the new McPherson High School athletic facility after a groundbreaking ceremony was held at the high school on Monday morning to signify the start of the construction process.
Not only did the 36 golf teams enjoy the perfect afternoon at the Chamber Classic “A Bunch of Hacks” Golf Tournament, but the hole sponsors appreciated a relaxing and comical way to build business relationships. A great opportunity for team building among the sponsor businesses, golf teams and volunteers.
