Tiger Media Network interns explore custom harvesting in documentary

Every year, custom harvesters travel the country to cut wheat and other crops for farmers who don’t have the equipment or manpower to do it themselves, a service that is vital to agriculture in America.The new Tiger Media Network documentary, “Life On The Harvest Run,” explores the lives of two custom harvesting families from Kansas and what their summers on the harvest run are like.

Smoky Valley Historical Association receives grant for speaker series

Humanities Kansas recently awarded $2,000 to the Smoky Valley Historical Association in Lindsborg to support “Historical Speakers Series,” a set of online talks that explore key figures in the history of Lindsborg.Lenora Lynam, Executive Director of the Lindsborg Old Mill and Swedish Heritage Museum, is serving as project director, and the association is receiving logistical and marketing support from the local museum.“We’re so excited to bring this series to the community,” Lynam said.
