Home grown: McPherson's Pyle reflects on journey

PITTSBURG, Kansas – Basketball roots run deep in the city of McPherson where the first-ever Olympic gold-medal team and countless state titles reside, but those roots don’t lie just within the city limits as McPherson native Grace Pyle proved that fact by showcasing her talents and leading the Pitt State women’s basketball team to a Final Four appearance her senior season. For Pyle, basketball has always been in the blood.

Bullpups compete in prestigious KU Relays

LAWRENCE, Kansas – The all-classes state meet at the end of the semester at Wichita State University’s Cessna Stadium is what comes to mind for many when thinking about the biggest track and field meet in Kansas, but the annual KU Relays would like a word as McPherson held its own amongst the heavyweights in the state at Rock Chalk Park this past weekend. Since 1923, the KU Relays, also known as the Kansas Relays, at Kansas University has played home to some of the most elite track and field talent throughout the country.
