INMAN, Kansas – Two McPherson County softball teams will be represented at their respective state tournaments this week, and one of those teams will be coming from Inman as the Teutons are back in the class 2A-1A state tournament after defeating Bennington for the regional title. The two softball teams that will be advancing to state in McPherson County are the McPherson Lady Pups (class 4A) and the Inman Teutons.

BUHLER, Kansas – The McPherson High School track and field team got one step closer to America’s largest high school state track and field meet last Friday, as the Bullpups took second place in both the boys and girls divisions at the AVCTL Division III league meet in Buhler. Friday, May 16 didn’t only serve as the league meet but also as one final tune-up for McPherson before competing in regionals to decide who will qualify and advance to the all-classes state track and field meet at the end of the month.
The regular season has officially come to a close for the McPherson High School baseball team and with it comes the tying of a school record, a No. 1 overall seed in regionals and an eight-game winning streak.
The most wins in a single regular season in Kansas high school softball history now resides with McPherson High School, as the Lady Pups capped a perfect 26-0 regular season on Tuesday with a doubleheader sweep of rival Buhler on senior night.
CANTON, Kansas – The Central Kansas Youth Rodeo Association held two more rodeo events on Saturday and Sunday, May 10 and 11 where they placed in the top five forty times on Saturday and thirty-eight times on Sunday.
WICHITA, Kansas — The Remington Bronco baseball team got a scare to start the game and a scare to end the game, but came through to hold on to an 8-6 win over Heart of America League rival Moundridge Wednesday in the quarterfinals of the Class 2-1A regionals at the West Side Athletic Field in Wichita. A Remington assistant coach was hit in the face with a baseball during warm ups and had to be attended to.
