MOUNDRIDGE, Kansas – As the 2025 baseball and softball seasons approach the finish line, Moundridge is looking to round into form for postseason play as the Wildcats hosted doubleheaders against Remington on Friday, May 2.
Postseason soccer approaches as the McPherson High School girls soccer team is attempting to find its stride, but a much-needed recharge before the final stretch of the season took place last Wednesday after the Lady Pups hosted their annual Practice with the Lady Pups girls soccer clinic. Less than 24 hours before the girls soccer clinic took place, McPherson took its home field against Winfield.
PITTSBURG, Kansas – Basketball roots run deep in the city of McPherson where the first-ever Olympic gold-medal team and countless state titles reside, but those roots don’t lie just within the city limits as McPherson native Grace Pyle proved that fact by showcasing her talents and leading the Pitt State women’s basketball team to a Final Four appearance her senior season. For Pyle, basketball has always been in the blood.
The first day of the month featured the last day that McPherson High School track and field seniors would compete on their home turf, as both the girls and boys teams took fourth place at the McPherson Invitational last Thursday.
The postseason has officially arrived at McPherson High School and it came on the tennis courts, as the Bullpup boys tennis team took fourth place amidst a loaded field at the AVCTL Division III and IV tournament on Monday, May 5.

MAIZE, Kansas – On back-to-back days last week, the McPherson High School boys tennis team took road trips to compete against top-tier schools in the state as the Bullpups came away with fourth and third place finishes, respectively, at Buhler and Maize. In its first outing since the annual Doug Gayer Classic, McPherson traveled to Buhler for an invite to compete against Buhler, Andover Central, Goddard-Eisenhower, Valley Center, Sterling and Dodge City.
