Redskins return 13 starters for fall season

LITTLE RIVER, Kansas – Replacing a quarterback, receiver and two lineman means the Little River football program will be reloading for 2025 success with the 13 players they have with starting gametime experience, including seven seniors to help lead a team of 29 looking to make a deep run in the 8-Man, Division I state playoffs. Despite going undefeated in Wheat State League play, going 3-1 in district games, and finishing 8-3 overall, the 2024 season for the Redskins game to an end with a loss to Central Plains in the third round of the state playoffs.

Experience-heavy Vikings ready for season

LINDSBORG, Kansas – Perseverance was the key word in 2024 as the Smoky Valley High School football team battled through a 2-7 record, but the Vikings return plenty of experience heading into the new season in an effort to return to a Central Kansas League force. Smoky Valley went a combined 2-7 last season (1-4 in league play), with its final loss coming to Rock Creek in the playoffs.

Young talent fuels Teuton football

INMAN, Kansas – The end of last season saw the Inman High School football team finish with a sub .500 record and a first-round playoff exit, but a young and talented Teuton roster brings back the majority of its starters in what is expected to be a bounce-back year. After advancing to the class 1A state championship game in back-to-back seasons in 2021 and 2022, Inman missed the playoffs altogether in 2023 before losing to Plainville in the first round of the playoffs last year, resulting in a 4-5 finish for the Teutons.

Bullpup football prepped for new season

MCPHERSON, Kansas – The end of last high school football season saw McPherson High School finish with an even 5-5 record, but the Bullpups aim to be back in contention for a league title and a deep postseason run in 2025 as they look to rely on a mixed, talented roster. Throughout last season, McPherson struggled to find its footing as the Bullpups alternated wins and losses for much of the season while also dealing with untimely injuries.
