With two games to go in the regular season, the McPherson High School girls basketball team turned in perhaps its most complete game of the season Monday night as the Lady Pups got it done on both ends of the floor for a dominant 52-36 win over Circle.
Monday night’s home matchup against Circle was supposed to be a positive beginning to a stretch of three games in four days to end the regular season, but instead the Thunderbirds flipped the script on the Bullpups by winning their first ever contest inside of the Roundhouse by a score of 66-51. Following an 80-46 win over Buhler on Valentine’s Day, McPherson’s record sat at 13-2 after recording four straight wins.

The first eight tickets to state of the winter sports season were officially punched last Saturday as the McPherson High School girls wrestling team will be represented by eight different Lady Pups at the class 4A girls state wrestling tournament.
MOUNDRIDGE, Kansas – One city in the middle of Kansas is playing home to not only one of the best boys and girls high school basketball teams in class 2A but throughout the entire state, as the Moundridge Wildcats continued their dominance by sweeping Ell-Saline on Tuesday, February 11. Moundridge Boys: One of the few remaining undefeated high school teams throughout the state of Kansas can be found in Moundridge, where the class 2A Wildcat boys have reached an impressive 17-0 mark with eight ranked wins on their resume.
BUHLER, Kansas – The McPherson vs Buhler rivalry tends to get the full attention of everyone in attendance when the two teams meet, but all eyeballs were glued to No. 24 in red last Friday night as McPherson’s Gabe Pyle lit Jim Baker Fieldhouse on fire by dropping 44 points and 11 made three-pointers.
