The McPherson College men’s basketball team returned home last Saturday to take on KCAC foe Ottawa inside of Holman Fieldhouse, but the Braves spoiled what would’ve been the Bulldogs’ first conference win as McPherson fell 85-82.McPherson is off to a 2-4 start in the 2024-2025 season and is currently in the midst of a three-game losing streak with all losses coming against KCAC opponents (89-86 loss to Southwestern, 72-65 loss to Kansas Wesleyan and 85-82 loss to Ottawa).

The first signing day of the 2024-2025 school year took place for McPherson High School on Wednesday, November 13, as Bullpup athletes Logan Beede, Addison Chapman and Haely Hagemann chose their college destination.All three of McPherson’s signees will continue their athletic career on a diamond, as Beede signed to play baseball and both Chapman and Hagemann signed to play softball.Beede, who will be playing his senior season this upcoming spring for the Bullpup baseball team, elected to sign with Neosho County Community College.

LITTLE RIVER, Kansas – On Friday night, Little River played home to another instant classic eight-man football game in the playoffs as the Redskins hosted Central Plains for a second time this season, but a late defensive stand by the Oilers sent Little River to a 38-32 defeat.Back on October 18, Little River and Central Plains met during the regular season in what turned out to be a preview of the class 8-Man Division I sectional playoff round.
