The 17U Bullpups summer baseball team has officially ended its summer season, as McPherson closed the season with a pair of doubleheaders against the same teams in two different locations and days.

CANTON, Kansas – With one weekend of rodeo events left in the 2025 season for the Central Kansas Youth Rodeo Association (CKYRA), 26 county youth are ranked in the all-around standings through four weekends of rodeo events so far.
Youth athletes within McPherson County have the opportunity to learn from two elite strength and conditioning coaches during the month of July, as Riley Ross and Harvey Tolley are putting together the Higher Tactics Development Camp.
CANTON, Kansas – The Central Kansas Youth Rodeo Association (CKYRA) finished its fourth weekend of rodeo events for the 2024 season on Saturday, July 5 and Sunday, July 6 with 26 area youth entered 53 events while totaling up 17 event titles.
Local youth baseball teams are in the thick of the 2025 summer season, but tryouts for the 2026 McPherson Baseball Association (MBA) teams will be held later this week to determine rosters for next year.
EDMOND, Oklahoma – For a second time this summer season, a McPherson summer baseball team made its way down south to Oklahoma as the 17U Bullpups finished with a 0-3-1 record at the Midwest College Baseball Circuit in Edmond this past weekend.

Four weekends ago, the annual anticipation for the McPherson County City Golf Tournament was settled on three different courses over three different days as McPherson native Jake Lackey successfully defended his title.
