18U Pups hang tough in Oklahoma road trip

ENID, Oklahoma – While the 16U and 15U McPherson summer baseball teams were back at home competing in the annual Kaiden Schroeder Memorial Tournament, the third and final McPherson summer team was also in action as the 18U team went 2-2 in its first tournament in Oklahoma. The eldest and wisest McPherson summer baseball team belongs to the 18U Bullpups, who boast a nearly identical roster to McPherson High School’s varsity roster during the 2025 regular season.

Perfect Pups: McPherson caps undefeated season with historic state title

SALINA, Kansas – A first-year coach and an undefeated record led to a program’s first state softball title on Friday, as the McPherson Lady Pups put the finishing touches on a perfect 31-0 season by defeating Eudora 4-1 in the class 4A state championship game. Headlined by Addison Chapman, one of the top all-around players throughout the entire state, talent was never going to be the issue for McPherson heading into the 2025 season.

Four individual golds highlight state track and field

When your six area smaller schools send nearly fifty athletes to compete in nearly sixty events you expect some triumphs, and that they did as the Moundridge boys scored a second-place team finish and Little River had three individual golds, Moundridge had one and Inman scored a relay gold to go along with the Lady Teuton softball team getting a second-place ending in softball. The Moundridge boys scored 73 points to claim second place in Class 2A led by Henry Hecox who closed out his Wildcat career with a gold medal in the javelin.
