Dolores Henriette Hett, 97 of Canton, died Monday, May 29, 2023 at Mercy Hospital, Moundridge.

She was born January 15, 1926 in Lehigh, the daughter of Gustav and Louise (Schroeder) Wiederstein. She was a retired nurse, having been employed for many years at McPherson Hospital taking care of babies and their mothers. On July 6, 1943 she was united in marriage to Donald D. Hett in Marion. He preceded her in death on September 17, 1999. Dolores was a lifelong Canton area resident and was a devoted member of the Canton Community Church. Survivors include her children, Donetta (Larry) Marston, Pratt, Donna (Galen) Shields, McPherson, Dennis (Jeanne) Hett, Canton, Danny Hett, Canton, Darla (Daryl) Morris, Newton and Darrin (Terri) Hett, Canton; 20 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and 2 greatgreat- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Troy Hett, two daughters and their husbands, Diane (George) Toews and Deanna (Clifford) Bruce, a daughter-in-law, Debra Hett, four grandchildren, one great grandchild and two brothers, Milton and Verner Wiederstein. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 12, 2023 at the Canton Community Church. Interment will be in the Canton Township Cemetery. Friends may call from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Sunday, June 11, 2023 at the church. A memorial has been established with the church, in care of Olson’s Mortuary, Canton.
