Wichita, KS- Donald Raymond Richardson passed away peacefully at his home on March 2, 2023 at the age of 87 after a long battle with COPD. Born in
Wichita, KS to Violet Smith and Raymond Davis, he joined the United States Marine Corp in 1952, serving both abroad and stateside. On Feb. 17, 1953 he married Wanda Jeanette (Terri) Neal in Kansas City, KS. They had two daughters, Michelle and Melina. They divorced in 1974.
He was the founder and long time owner of Top Hand, Inc, a livestock equipment company, in addition to owning several private clubs and bars in the Hutchinson/McPherson KS area.
On Aug. 15, 1990, he married Linda Thompson in McPherson, KS, and relocated to Wichita years later. Don was preceded in death by his mother, father, step-mother Genevieve Davis of Pratt KS, and stepfather Leonard Richardson of Dodge City, KS. He is survived by his wife, Linda of the home; daughter Michelle and Peter Daike, Sr. of Cleburne, TX; daughter, Melina and Jeff Morrison of Arlington, TX; daughter, Lori Clara of Independence, MO; granddaughters, Jennifer McCoy of Arlington, TX, Heather and Chris Self of Burleson, TX, and Macy and Kylie Miles of Arlington, TX; and greatgranddaughters, Brynley, Tieghan and Everly Self of Burleson, TX.
