The McPherson Community Brass Choir under the direction of Jerry Toews will give a Sousa-style Brass Choir Concert at 5 p.m. Sunday in the Church of the Brethren, 200 N. Carrie St. There is no cost to attend.

The McPherson Community Brass Choir under the direction of Jerry Toews will give a Sousa-style Brass Choir Concert at 5 p.m. Sunday in the Church of the Brethren, 200 N. Carrie St. There is no cost to attend.
The concert will feature professional jazz trombonist Denny Brunk on a couple of jazz numbers, as well as virtuoso trumpeter Kyle Unruh, McPherson High School Band Instructor playing one of the old Herbert Clark cornet solos. 
Other featured numbers with be a tuba-euphonium duet with Ty Kaufman and Greg Nickel. A Vivaldi piccolo trumpet duet with organ accompaniment will also be presented.   
The 16-piece McPherson Brass Choir will also play Percy Grainger's “Lincolnshire Posy” as well as a march and a funeral march by Beethoven.
