TOWANDA — Judging by the pregame roster, it was evident from the start Circle did not have the firepower to keep up with the McPherson High School wrestling team.

With five open slots the Bullpups were guaranteed a free 30 points. By the time the dual match mercifully ended, the Bullpups were 63-18 winners and 3-0 in the Ark Valley Chisholm Trail League Division III.

The Bullpups led 45-0 before Circle finally got on the board at 160. Landon Crews (113), EJ Kretzer (120), Scott Radke (145), Ben Hopkins (152) and Bailey Yarborough (182) all won by falls. Brenton Crews also had a decisive 6-1 win at 132.

With the win McPherson improves to 10-2 on the season. The Bullpups next compete on Saturday at the colossal Burlington Invitational which hosts 16 teams.
