ELYRIA — It was a game of runs and Herington had the last one.

After a rough start, the Elyria Christian School girls basketball team battled back, and held a one point lead heading into the fourth quarter.

But Herington closed the game on a 8-3 run to escape with a 41-37 win. Herington led 23- 15 at halftime before ECS went on a 19-10 run in the third quarter.

“Our girls battled back in the second half, but Herington made tough shots in the fourth quarter to get the lead back,” head coach Greg Fields said. “We did a nice job of not allowing open shots, but we still struggled hitting our own open looks.”

Misha Redenbaugh led Elyria with 12 points and six rebounds. Bailey Unruh scored nine points.
