The Canton Dizzy Dames Family and Community Education unit met March 5 at the home of Maida Laughlin in Canton.

She presented the lesson “Searching for Chocolate,” which is one of over 60 lessons from the national FCE organization.

Chocolate cravings seem to be a problem for women searching for sugar and mood-elevating effects. Nearly half of women experience these mood changes, like calmness, productivity and happiness.

Different types of chocolate are determined by their concentration of chocolate liquor and cocoa butter. Calorie determinations come from the amounts of added sugar and fat in the manufacturing process.

Dark chocolate offers some nutritious benefit if ate moderately as a treat. The next meeting will be April 2 at the home of Adele Koehn.
