McPHERSON — Detectives have arrested a 17-year old McPherson boy for first-degree murder, burglary, theft and possession of stolen property in connection with a fatal shooting at Mustang Mobile Park, the McPherson Police Department said in release on Tuesday evening.
Police said he will be booked into a juvenile detention facility.
The victim of the shooting has been identified as Jordan Krell, 22, of Canton.
Officers responded to reports of shots fired at about 12:25 a.m., on Monday morning McPherson Police Chief Robert McClarty said during a police briefing Monday.
When they reached the 400 block of Dales Draw, they found Krell unconscious and unresponsive, he said. He was pronounced dead at the scene from an apparent gunshot wound.
The McPherson Police and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation are still seeking the public’s help with the investigation.
