Michael Selman Connor, 70, of McPherson, and formerly of Jenks, Okla., passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2018, surrounded by family at his home in McPherson.
He had most recently worked as a programmer for Helmerich & Payne in Tulsa, Okla.
Michael was born on Jan. 30, 1948, in Miami, Fla., the son of Willy Selman and Agnes Elizabeth (Fuller) Connor. He graduated from North Miami (Fla.) High School in 1965 and Crown College in St. Bonifacius, Minn. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Germany.
He was united in marriage to Janice M. Bloomquist on June 19, 1970, in Miramar, Fla.
He attended Countryside Covenant Church in McPherson.
Survivors include: his wife, Janice of the home; mother, Agnes Forsythe of Tulsa, Okla.; 12 children, Janelle Gannon of Jenks, Okla., Andrew Connor (Bonnie) of Jenks, Okla., Philip Connor (Lisa) of Edgecliff, Texas, Amy Ross of Anoka, Minn., Julie Johnston (Brian) of Mansfield, TX, Joel Connor (Amy) of Haskell, OK, Alicia Barnes (Matt) of Kenai, Alaska, Olga Clark of Tulsa, Okla., Anastasia Hahn of Glenpool, Okla., Ivan Connor of Tulsa, Okla., Dmitry Connor of Tulsa, Okla., and Katerina Connor of Kenai, Alaska; brother, Daniel Connor of Boise, Idaho; sister, Julia Connor of Fayetteville, N.C.; and 42 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Oct. 19, 2018, at McPherson Cemetery.
A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m., Friday, at Countryside Covenant Church with the Rev. Jon Black officiating.
