Marion Lucille Anderson, 92, of Lindsborg, KS, passed away at 3:48 p.m., Tuesday, November 13th, 2018 peacefully, at Bethany Home.

Marion was born in Kansas City, Kansas on February 24, 1926, a daughter of the late Sadie Dorothy (Anderson) and Otto Albert Pearson.

Marion attended McKinley grade school in Kansas City, Kansas, and graduated from Wyandotte High School, in Kansas City, Kansas. She then attended Bethany College, Lindsborg, Kansas where she graduated with her Bachelor’s degree

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, McPherson, Ks. and later joined Salemsborg Lutheran Church in 2018.

Marion was a homemaker and she took great pride in providing for her family in this manner.  She taught Art for 17 years in Junior High at both Great Bend, Ks. and McPherson, Ks. 

Marion volunteered in several organizations including Hospice, Trash to Treasure, and Save N Share, and enjoyed her handwork and crafts.  Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Marion Lucille Pearson was united in marriage to Paul Zane “Zeke” Anderson on June 18, 1950 at First Lutheran Church, Kansas City Missouri.  The young couple established their first home together in Great Bend, Kansas.  This union was blessed with the birth of two sons Ron and Dennis “Andy”.

 She is survived by son Andy, husband of  Sonnie Anderson, of Goshen, Ohio;  nephew Bob Benson, husband of  Marise Benson, of Kansas City, Missouri; and nephew Ed Benson, of Seattle, Washington. Marion was blessed with and survived by Grandchildren, Aaron Olsen, Parker Olsen, Molly Anderson, Lucy Hilzer, and Abby Anderson; Step Grandchildren, Shawna Mobley, and Denise McCoy; and Great-Grandchildren - Everett Olsen, Charli Hilzer, and Ellie Jo Olsen.

 Marion was preceded in death by her parents; her sister Dorothy Benson; her son, Ronald Paul Anderson, and her husband Paul “Zeke” Anderson.

Memorial Service at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Salemsborg Lutheran Church in Smolan, Kansas with the Reverend Bill Peterson officiating.  Burial will follow the service in the Salemsborg Lutheran Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Salemsborg Lutheran Church or JDRF Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
