Wind chill lows ranged from -8 to -5 for McPherson last night gradually warming to -2 by 8 a.m., according to Chris Jakub, a forecaster with the National Weather Service in Wichita.

Temperatures are set for more of the same today with a high of only 23 and  overnight wind chills around 0.

The deep freeze caused by the polar vortex should be over by this weekend and temperatures could jump into the low 60s on Saturday.
