Gary Leon Johnson, 80, of Lindsborg passed away Sunday, Jan. 20, at McPherson Health and Rehabilitation. 

He was born Nov. 2, 1938, in Lindsborg,  to the late Walter G. and the late Marie C. (Soby) Johnson.

He was a lifelong farmer and rancher. He was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church and a past Boy Scout troop leader. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, traveler, and outdoorsman. He loved to travel and camp with his family and with the scouts. He also had many outdoor trips and adventures with his sons and friends.

He is survived sons: Brad Johnson,Valley Center; Randy (Susan) Johnson,Wichita; Richard (Becky) Johnson, Lindsborg; and their mother, Ervalene Johnson, Lindsborg; as well as, grandchildren: Bryant and Brandon Johnson, and Marissa and Lindsey Johnson.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his stepmother: Mildred V. Anderson.

Cremation has been chosen and a private family graveside memorial service will be held at Elmwood Cemetery at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made in Gary’s name to Boy Scouts of America Troop No. 120, Lindsborg.
