An important survey to determine health needs in McPherson County is currently being conducted, and the public is invited and encouraged to participate. McPherson Hospital, Lindsborg Community Hospital, Mercy Hospital in Moundridge and the McPherson County Health Department are requesting the public’s input as they jointly prepare a Community Health Needs Assessment.

The survey’s purpose is to determine the most significant health needs in our county. From the survey results, a CHNA will be prepared to prioritize the identified needs, which can then be addressed through action strategies.

The survey’s main focus is on the community’s perceptions of health needs. It doesn’t ask any private or personal health information. Submissions are completely anonymous.

Officials say the success of the initiative is dependent upon feedback from county citizens so everyone is encouraged to participate. The survey may be completed and submitted electronically or on paper, but electronic is the preferred format.
