The Live Wires-Empire Best 4H club held its March meeting at the McPherson County Fair Building in Canton, on March 18. The meeting was called to order by President Lane McMannis.   

The Flag Salute and 4-H Pledge were then given.  R

oll Call was answered by “What is your favorite Season- Spring, Summer, Fall or Winter?”

Seventeen members, three Leaders and seven guests were present at the meeting. 

Katy Prieb read of minutes of the last meeting and they were approved as read. 

No communication was read, so we moved on to Officer reports.  

 

Treasurer Report

Sage gave a detailed report for all bank accounts. 

 

Reporter

Isom Marston reported last month’s meeting to the paper and would be submitting today’s meeting. 

 

Council Members

No Meeting.  

 

All members then stood up and announced, what they have done during the last month for 4-H. 

 

Program

Camden Kruse presented a talk over “How to Pull a Calf”. Brynn Kruse gave her demonstration on “How to make Lavender Sugar Scrub Soap” and Blaine Smith lead the club in a game of The Wheel Barrow Race.  Wesley Prieb was the joker and asked the club, What do you get when you cross a Leprechaun with Cupid?  Arrows and Rainbows!

 

Old Business

Development Fund Drive: Leaders reminded members to finish asking donors for donations and to turn in the money to the club leaders or to the Extension office before May. Each 4-H family needs to contact the donors. Also, Leader Tina McMannis reminded members of 4-H Club Days, March 23 and asked for names of who will be available to be room monitors.  There was no New Business.  Next month’s meeting will be in Galva.

Announcements were then read. Meeting was adjourned by repeating the club’s motto, “To Make the Best Better”. Host family was the Koehn’s.
