With CD players in cars no longer standard equipment, and people using their phones and other mobile devices for an increasing number of functions, many patrons who enjoy checking out audiobooks on CD from the library are in need of new options. On May 2 at 6:30 p.m., the McPherson Public Library is offering a workshop that will instruct attendees how to select and download audiobooks from the library website, and then listen to them in their car or on a mobile device of their choice.
Audiobooks have always been a popular genre, and our CD collection remains a patron favorite for checkouts. But people like the flexibility and mobility of having audiobooks on their phones, which is what the RB (Recorded Books) Digital service provides. McPherson Public Library patrons downloaded almost 6,000 audiobooks last year, all for free, from RB Digital. With thousands of quality titles to choose from, this service is top notch.
So bring your own mobile device and get ready to go RB Digital. Everyone attending the workshop will leave with an audiobook downloaded to their device and ready to read.
