There are plenty of boutiques around McPherson County to visit when you're looking for something fun for yourself, an item to spruce up your home or a unique gift for a special person or occasion. Store owners assemble and display trendy clothing, handmade jewelry, Kansas-made items and more for shoppers to browse through.

For those who appreciate other cultures, Anderson Butik brings a thoroughly Scandinavian selection of gifts, music and apparel.

"We've got T-shirts, mugs and stickers," said owner Dean Anderson.

The comforts of home — and several Kansas-made products — can be found at The Good Merchant. The store features vintage-style home decor, women's clothing, accessories and gifts for all ages.

Besides the main shopping area, which has custom-built displays made from barn wood, The Good Merchant also offers an upstairs children's play area and a restroom which has a sink set into an antique piano.

"A lot of people will come in ask just to use the bathroom," owner Molly Johnson laughed. "I'm OK with that, that's totally fine."

The Good Merchant, located at 131 N. Main St. in Lindsborg, is open from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 12:30 to 5 p.m. Sunday. For more information, visit thegoodmerchant.net or call 785-212-6134.
