Jim and Cindy Griggs will share about a trip they took to Oregon Coastlines at 7 p.m. July 25 during “Circle Monday” at the Wellness Center at The Cedars, 1021 Cedars Dr. McPherson.
Jim Griggs is a published photographer whose credits include National Geographic.
“I made my first visit to the Oregon Coast in 1983. It was at that point I fell in love with the beauty, wildness and spectacular ocean splendor that greets me every time I get there’ Jim Jim Griggs said. “We made a few trips following my initial encounter. For the past nine years we have rented a house on the coast for a week and explored that slice of Heaven. Come explore with us on a visual look at what drives us there so often.”
Jim Griggs has been active in photography since 1970. He has a keen interest in photography of the scenic and wild splendors of the world. In the mid 1980s and 90s, he was a teaching assistant at Wilderness Photography Workshops in Colorado and Wyoming, catering to clients such as Smithsonian Tours of Washington, D.C.
Griggs' photography has been published in numerous magazines, books, calendars, newspapers, post cards, brochures and websites including the Sierra Club, the Nature Conservancy and National Geographic.
