The McPherson Police Department will host the first “Community First Responders’ Night” at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 6 in Lakeside Park, 511 N. Lakeside Drive.

This free to the public event will be for all ages. The McPherson Police Department, McPherson Fire Department, McPherson EMS, McPherson County Sheriff's Office, McPherson County Communications and the Kansas Highway Patrol will all be on hand offering activities including a free hot dog cookout; shaved ice; popcorn; bounce house; airbrush and glitter tattoos; dunk tank; Kansas Army National Guard; LifeSave Transport Helicopter; KHP Trooper Ben, Sheriff’s Office K-9 demonstrations; emergency vehicles; and a free swim at the pool.

The  hot dog cookout will be from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. with demonstrations from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The free swim will be from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m.
